A resident of Amite, passed away at 3:00AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at her home. She was born July 28, 1944 in Tangipahoa, LA and was 72 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Milton Courtney, Amite; daughter, Ann Marie Ewing and husband, Walker; son, David S. Courtney, Amite; sister, Dorothy Waddell, Baton Rouge; brother, Hugh D. Rimes, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Christine Cap and husband, Long, James Ewing, and Chelsie Ewing. Preceded in death by sisters, Mary Brumfield and Virginia Bourgeois; mother, Anna H. Rimes; father, Hugh D. Rimes, Sr. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 12 noon until religious services at 2:00PM Thursday, May 25, 2017. Services conducted by Rev. Eugene Gullett.
