Angietta T.
G. Keen
d. May 21, 2023
Amite
It is with hope in the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ and the joy of the promise of His eternal Kingdom that we celebrate the passing of Angietta Keen.
Angietta passed on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the age of 72.
Angietta, known by friends as Jet, was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Frances, brother Nick, and sister Angietta Marie. She will be missed greatly by her loving and devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Dan, her daughter Kay and son-in-law Matt, and loving grands, Waylon, Laney, and Cohen, in which she served as a dedicated, spiritual, and loving role model.
Angietta had a long and successful teaching career as a music educator for over 25 years. Angietta was also instrumental in assisting her husband with his band programs and with the music ministries at their churches.
Jet was very active in Eucharistic Adoration, where she served as Adoration Coordinator, and guided tours of the church and campus. She was a prayer warrior and true Christian witness of her steadfast faith. If you knew Jet in any way, you should be assured she was praying for your soul.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall from 8:30AM until 10:30AM followed by the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Helena Catholic Church at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Interment will be in Mulberry Street Cemetery, Amite, LA.
Jet requested that, in lieu of flowers, those wanting to share condolences please make donations to the Shrine of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Retreat Center, PO Box 130, Osyka, MS 39657 or have Catholic Masses offered in her name.
Jet's family would like to extend great thanksgiving for the blessings of friends, family members, and church community by offering prayers, cooking meals, and assisting in numerous ways during this difficult time.
