Aubrey Cara Leigh passed peacefully from this earth to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. She was born on November 4, 1988, in Metairie, Louisiana to James and Wanda Leigh. Aubrey grew up in New Orleans with her mother, older sister Ashton, and little brother Storm. Her family instilled in her a love for the Lord. She loved her family dearly but had a special relationship with Storm. They were close in age and both claimed that they were kindred spirits or as Storm would say, "thick as thieves". She went to school in the New Orleans area except for the 2005-2006 school year of Katrina when she attended Jewel Sumner High School located outside of Kentwood, LA. It was there that she met Wade who would years later become her soulmate. After returning to New Orleans, she graduated high school in Metairie and spent a brief time in college. On June 19, 2012, Aubrey became a mother to her son, Mason. She adored her little boy and cherished being his mother. Through the years, Aubrey had many trials and tribulations, but she always had a heart of gold and a love for God. She could never look the other way if a person was in need and could never pass up an abandoned cat or dog. Those that knew her would speak of her love for children. She looked at her life as if it were her responsibility to care for the weak and less fortunate. Her beautiful, dancing eyes and great, big smile would illuminate any room. She had a way of being funny and not even knowing it and don't ever ask her a question unless you wanted to know the truth of how she felt. Even Aubrey's laugh was true. She didn't hold back and at times it was almost boisterous. Aubrey was always so appreciative of the little things. She was humble and caring. Those who knew her, appreciated the fact that when they were with her, she was always present; she never let her phone or other distraction take her away from a good conversation. Aubrey was beautiful inside and out. During this last year, Aubrey and Wade reconnected and pledged their love to one another and had the best year of their lives. They were so perfect for each other, and their love was evident to all they met. They hunted, fished, cooked, and gardened. They did everything together. They both loved being outdoors because they felt closer to God. Aubrey would say, "How could anyone not believe in God after seeing all this?" Aubrey and Wade were expecting baby "Eliza" on October 19th. She always told Wade that all she ever wanted was to be a good mother and be loved. Our sweet Aubrey is now in heaven holding her beautiful baby girl. We will forever hold them in our hearts. Aubrey is survived by her mother, Wanda Leigh of Baton Rouge/New Orleans, her son, Mason Bienvenue of Baton Rouge, her sister, Ashton Leigh of Baton Rouge, her brother, Storm Leigh of Baton Rouge, Maamaw Bonita Leigh, her Uncle Mike Leigh and Aunt Nicole Leigh, niece, Kaitlyn Buonagura, and multiple family members including Heather Leigh, and Tisha Leigh. She is also survived by Wade Lea, and his family, Cyndi and Brad Blades, Terry and Amy Lea, Matthew Lea and Noah Lea. Aubrey was preceded in death by her older brother, Warren Buonagura II her father, James Leigh Jr., Grandpa Emanuel and Grandma Florida Palmisano Sr., Papi James Leigh Sr., uncle, Emanuel Palmisano III, and Belinda Palmisano.
