Born on July 24, 1940 and passed away on September 6, 2023 at the age of 83. Native of Gretna, La. and a resident of Amite, La. Survived by her 2 daughters, Donna Ponson (Richard) and Penny Holden (Kevin); 2 step-daughters, Sandra Abadie and Marie Matherne; grandchildren, Beth Guidry, Paxton Ponson, Shane Mixon, Mindy Drake, Jaynel Delaune, Justin Ponson and Shannon Duthu; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Calvin Lepine (Linda); as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her late husbands, Thomas "Sam" LaCrosse, Ulyssee "Dee" Broussard; her son, David Delaune (Alice); and granddaughter, Colby Autin; her parents, Warren and Marion Lepine, Barbara was a long-time member and past president of the Women's Auxiliary of American Legion Post 64 in Gretna, La. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, on Tuesday, September 12, at 10:00AM with a Rosary at 9:30AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park, Terrytown, La.
