A resident of Amite, Louisiana and a native of Independence, Louisiana, died February 13, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family. She is 87 years old. She is survived by her son, Emile Pingno (Debbie), and a daughter, Margaret Wascom (Thomas); three grandchildren, Scottie Wascom, Chad Wascom (Keri), and Jason Pingno (Heidi); four great-grandchildren, Jason "JJ" and Hunter Pingno and Kayden and Carsyn Wascom. Also survived by her sister, Margaret Costanza (Joe); one sister-in-law, Catherine Farlouis; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Emile Pingno; father, Alfonso Farlouis; mother, Alice Farlouis; two brothers, Jerry and Roger Farlouis; and a nephew, Joseph Costanza "Lil Joe". The family would like to thank New Century Hospice, Renea Laird (Nurse), and Veronica Robinson (Aide) for being with us during this trying time. Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite from 8:30AM until 10:30AM on Wednesday. A Funeral Mass will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Services conducted by Fr. Reuben Dykes. Interment will follow at the Colonial Cemetery in Independence. Pallbearers will be Jason Pingno Sr., Jason Pingno Jr., Scottie Wascom, Chad Wascom, Emile Pingno, and Joe Costanza.
