A resident of Greensburg, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at his home. He was born September 15, 1958 in Clinton, LA and was 67 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Margaret "Margo" Tate; 4 daughters, Mary "Beth" Tate Fair and husband Dustin, Michelle Cruz, Nicole Anderson and Amanda Landry and husband, Chris; 3 sons, Bennett Tate, Jr. and wife, Karen, Robert E. Tate, and Doug W. Tate; 13 grandchildren, Dustin Fair, Jr. and Jesse, Bryson, Forrest, and Hoyt Tate, October Tate and Sophia Hales, Angel, Syiereise, and Andalasio Garcia, and Monique Anderson and Hunter Tate, Curry and Grayce Landry; sister, Louise Tate Newman. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Kathryn Tate; and sister, Dena "Jo" Tate Cooper.
