A resident of Amite passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Born April 17, 1934 she was 83 years of age. Survived by her daughter, Billie "Susie" Hall, of Amite; son, Tim Smith and wife, Donna, of Greenwood, LA ; son, Patrick Smith, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Jennifer Moran and husband, Lynn, Sonya Mayeaux, and Olivia Smith; 4 great grandchildren, Kayla Mayeaux, Ashley Templeton, Lily Templeton, and William Moran; sisters, Lenore Cook and Pearl Wagner; and her brother, Joseph Jody Ratliff. Preceded in death by her husband, Homer Smith; parents, John and Annie Morgan Ratliff; and her brother, John Ratliff, II. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10:30AM until 12:30PM with a Memorial Service at  11:00AM conducted by Rev. Byron Cornish.
