A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home. He was born December 2, 1943 in Bogalusa, LA and was 78 years of age. He is survived by his daughter, Shanon Vaughn and husband, Michael; son, William Slaven and wife, Stacey; 5 grandchildren, Meagan Gill and husband, Benjamine, Tiffany Beauchamp and husband, Ty, Sean Slaven and fiancé, Ashlee Delanoix, Dylan Vaughn, and Samantha Beyl and husband, Brady; 7 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Gill, Benjamine Gill, II, Jesse Beauchamp, Lucus Slaven, Addison Slaven, Brayleigh Beyl and Brielle Beyl. Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn R. Slaven; 7 brothers; 3 sisters; mother and father, Cleve and Carrie Slaven. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM.
