He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Marcie Hudson; children, George Brumfield (Amber), Celes May (Witt), Chandler Hudson (Sianna), and Nick Shelton (Jessica); and numerous grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, J.L. Hudson, Sr. and Edith Chaney Hudson; son, Allen Shelton.
