Chad Hillstrom was born March 14, 1979, in Kenner, LA. He passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at age 45. He was a resident of Kentwood, LA and attended House on the Rock Church in Amite. He was blessed to go on several mission trips over the last few years to Israel and Mexico. He was an API inspector and accounts manager. He worked in the oil field for 23 years. He was outgoing and met no strangers. Always willing to talk to and help others.  He loved his 2 boys but thrived as a girl dad. Chad was dedicated to martial arts practice of jiu jitsu. He was a proud member of Gracie United Team Jucao Amite and received his purple belt under Professor Kurt Holobaugh. He loved to cook and hang out with friends and family. His crews 'Cooking with KP' and 'Swamp Mule' recently won several cookoff competitions. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He married Jewelena Hillstrom 19 years ago and together they raised their children, Kymberly (Blake) Accordo, Chad Jr., Cami Jo, Cameren, and Devonte. Then he became the proud grandfather of Saylor Accordo and has another granddaughter on the way.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen D. Stokes.

Visitation will be held at House on the Rock Church in Amite on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00AM until memorial services at 11:00AM. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
