A resident of Ama, LA, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Luling Living Center in Luling, LA. He was born November 26, 1931 in Carpenter, MS and was 94 years of age. He is survived by daughter, Karan Woods and husband, Cornel; 2 sons, David Cranfield and Curtis Cranfield and wife, Vangie; grandchildren, Kimberly Hamilton and husband, Brad, Jessica Nichols, and Jared Cranfield; and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Nita Cranfield; son, Donald Cranfield; parents, Bluford Day Cranfield and Ethel Pickering Bass; and sister, Flora Gilmore.
