David Wilson LeJeune, Age 87, passed away peacefully in the log home he built in Arcola, La. surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 5,2022. He was born on Oct 10,1934 in Egan, La. He is survived by his wife Dolores Babineaux LeJeune and their 8 children: Anne Marie LeJeune, Christine LeJeune Clever (Jay), Pamela LeJeune St. John (Jim), Madeline LeJeune, Bernadette LeJeune, Michael Jude LeJeune, Monica LeJeune Mixon (Duane), and Brian David LeJeune. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Margaret LeJeune Hanks. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Thomas Bruce (Sasha), Eileen Bruce McCroskey (Cliff), Candace Knoblock Barrera (Victor), Jeremiah Clever (Emily), Marya Clever Erdesky (Adam), Andrew St. John, Chad Mays, Jonathan Mays, Mary Havard Ramo (Justin), Daniel Havard, Genna Marland Jackson (Marvin), Joshua Carter, Mary LeJeune Davis (Joey), Eric Mixon, Jon Mixon (Heather), And his 39 greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents: David Jagois LeJeune and Maria LeJeune LeJeune, his infant brother David J. LeJeune, his sisters Dorothy LeJeune Hanks, and Hilda LeJeune McLeod, and his Grandson Joshua Michael LeJeune. David will be remembered for his love of God and his Catholic faith, he was always kind, generous, and friendly to everyone he met. He was a faithful, devoted, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from Avondale Shipyards after 35 years and was an active member of St Helena Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall from 9:00AM until 10:30AM with Funeral Mass at St. Helena Catholic Church at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Services conducted by Fr. Mark Beard. Interment Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola, LA. A special Thank you to Tulane Medical Team , Acadian Ambulance #372, and Karol McGee from Modern Hospice for making it possible to fulfill my husband's and dad's last wish.
