Floyd Terrebonne, Jr. of Amite, La, passed away at his home on September 1, 2026. He was born in Gretna, La on Jan. 20, 1947 to Floyd and Amelia Terrebonne. Floyd was a lifelong farmer, having been a dairyman and beef farmer all of his life. He was a passionate farmer who loved the land and animals and always strived to make this year’s crop better than the last. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rita Terrebonne, three sons, Scott (Kim), Brian, and Kerry (Lea Ann); six grandchildren, Kaleigh Deslatte (Jeffrey), Clay, Mia, Erin, Shane and Sean; two great-grandchildren, Parker Deslatte and Andrew Deslatte; three step-grandsons, James, Justin, and Josh; sisters, Jane Terrase (Dominic), Janet Standish (Richard), and Donna Griggs; a brother, Timothy Terrebonne (JoAnn). Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Amelia Terrebonne; one sister, Judy Anderson (Russell); brother-in-law, Mark Griggs; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Terrebonne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Research Foundation. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9:00AM until Religious Services at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Services conducted by Bro. Rodney Smith.
