Perry Jenkins passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at home in Amite, LA. Although he was a jack of many trades over the years, he was a self-employed dairy farmer for most of his life. In his spare time, you would find him spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and fooling with horses. He was born November 19, 1945, in Amite, LA and was 79 years of age. He is survived by the mother of his children, Carolyn Smart Jenkins; daughters, Cindy Jenkins Giron and husband, Carlos, Becki Jenkins, and Calli Jenkins Hughes and husband, John Ashley; grandchildren, Bess Giron-Tycer and husband, Laton, Kane McPherson and wife, Carolyn, Conner Alston and wife, Shelbie, Blaise Giron, Zach Perry Messina, Ashton Hughes, and Cate Alston; great-grandchildren, Russell Luke Alston and George Porter McPherson. Preceded in death by his father, George M. Jenkins; mother, Beatrice Hale Jenkins; father-in-law, Fred P. Smart; mother-in-law, Bessie Williams Smart; sisters, Shirley Primes and Francine Jenkins; brother, Gerald M. Jenkins.
