Sister Georgia Mae Diamond was born on March 16, 1949 to Jim Diamond and Bell Dawson Diamond in Liverpool, LA. The angel of God called her from earthly labor unto eternal rest on May 28, 2022. Sister Georgia accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age and became a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, and later became a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church under Leadership of Frank A. Davis, III. She served as Deaconess and part of the church kitchen. She retired from Tangipahoa School System as a Cafeteria worker for 28 years. She leaves to cherish her life and memories 5 children, Judy Brooks (Michael), Rachel Diamond, Pamela Perry (Lamon), James Diamond, and Nathan Diamond (Cleo); one sister, Carrie Diamond of Beaumont, TX; one daughter-in-law, Trenell Devon Diamond; She raised three grandsons as her own, Gregory Diamond (Macy) of Sulphur, LA, Jamontez Berry and Lionell Perkins, III of Amite, LA and one granddaughter, Rosa Campbell of Amite, LA. She has 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members; special friends, Andrea Pansey, Dorothy Johnson, and Brenda Dillon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Elizabeth Diamond; three sisters, Lucille, Virgie Dean Thomas, and Claybell and three brothers, Collis, Tommy and Roy Diamond. Honorary Pallbearers, Nathan Diamond, James Diamond, Gregory Diamond, Lamon Perry, Jerry Diamond and Frank Diamond. Pallbearers, Eugene Thomas, Cory Diamond, Johnny Thomas, Charles Cooper, Trey'on Brumfield and John Thomas. Words cannot express how deeply we appreciate all of the love, kindness and support shown to us during this difficult time. It will always be remembered by our family. A special thanks to Ms. Charl Ann and the McKneely Family. Visitation at Little Bethel Baptist Church, Amite, from 9:00AM until religious services at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
