A resident of Loranger, LA, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born June 6, 1933 in New Orleans, LA and was 92 years of age. Gladys volunteered at North Oaks Medical Center for 14 years. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Simpson and husband, Wayne; son, Wayne Bordonaro and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Jennifer Simpson Crowe, Robin Stafford and husband, Dave,  Chad Simpson and wife, Shelby, and Cory Simpson and wife, Susan, and Tina McIntosh and husband, Billy; 9 great-grandchildren, Chelsi Fortenberry and husband, Cole, Tyler Simpson and fiance, Shelby Roberts, Sophia Simpson, Dalton Simpson, Jaci Crowe, Jaxon Crowe, Magnolia McIntosh, Dillon McIntosh, and Shane McIntosh, Vivian Stafford, and Archer Stafford; great-great-grandchildren, Judson Fortinberry, Karsyn Fortinberry, Wesson Fortinberry, Audrey Simpson, and Corbin Simpson. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bordonaro, Jr.; grandson, Jed Imbraguglio, III; parents, Edmond and Bertha Alleman Giroir; brother, E. J. Giroir; and a sister, Grace Moffatt. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9:00AM until Religious Services at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Interment St. Dominic Cemetery, Husser, LA.
