A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 in Loranger, LA surrounded by his family. He was born July 24, 1944 in Independence, LA and was 80 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Ridgedell Cutrer; 3 children, James D. Cutrer, Sr. and wife, Marcy, Michael W. Cutrer and wife, Jennifer, and Melissa Cutrer Castello and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, James D. Cutrer, Jr., Phillip Hunter Cutrer and wife, Harley, Annie Ball, Allison Ball, Chase Barnes, Addison Hughes and husband, Chase, and Trinity Castello; great-grandson, Wesson Barnes; sister, Lettie Mae Carpenter. Preceded in death by his parents, Dedric Warren Cutrer, Sr.  and Lorine Bankston Cutrer; grandson, Braden Cutrer; brothers and sisters, Zelton Cutrer, Dedric Warren Cutrer, Jr., Marie Cutrer McAnelly, Jimmy Ray Cutrer, and Evon Cutrer. Visitation at Union Baptist Church from 9:00AM until religious services at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Services conducted by Rev. Mike Woodard.
