John "Johnny" Drew Hood went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was proud to serve his country. He is survived by his wife, Christine Hood; stepdaughter, Monica Alvarado; grandchildren, Liliana, Logan and Lauren Alvarado; brother, Boyd Ellis Hood and wife, Cheryl; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Betty Hood; and stepson, Daniel Bianco. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 2:00PM at Day's United Methodist Church, 23689 Hwy 43, Greensburg, LA 70441. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
