John Martin Munch

A loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. He was a current resident of Amite and a former resident of Metairie. He was born June 2, 1943, in New Orleans, LA, and was 83 years of age. He is survived by his son, Jason Munch and wife, Bridgette; daughter, Jessi Munch Maurin and husband, Daniel; 2 grandchildren, Emma Maurin and Maddie Maurin; brother, Buddy Munch and wife, Sandra; sister, Missy Marr and husband, Phineas; sister-in-law, Rita Munch; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Catherine Munch; wife, Joy Comeaux Munch; and brother, Billy Munch. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 12:00 pm until Memorial Services at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Services conducted by Rev. Wayne Yates.
