Obituary

Kallie Renae Dickens was given to us on this earth for only a short time, and left it peacefully on May 7th 2022, surrounded by her Mom, Dad, and little sister at home.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her PawPaw Don Allen, Aunt Summer Allen, and two siblings we never got to meet. We're jealous they were the first to hear her beautiful voice and silly laugh again.

She left her Mom and Dad, Hayley and Justin Dickens, and her sister, Kora Dickens, here to continue living out her beautiful legacy. Her sister Kora is her Bingo. Kallie will forever be our Bluey. Forever 4. Forever missed. Her time was short, but she changed the world with the time she had. Our world will never be the same.

Kallie has so many that love her. Her Nonna Denise Donut Dickens (Denise Allen) and MawMaw Cindy and PawPaw David Dickens. Her godparents Nanny Sam (Samantha) and her "T" Tyler Carey. Her Aunt Kat (Katherine), Uncle Josh, Aunt Laura, Uncle Jared, and her cousins Brody, Zoe, Erik, Charlotte, and Catherine Dickens. Her Aunt Anne and Uncle Bill Ford. So many more friends and family we could name. How lucky are we she is so loved. But she made it easy.

She was a lover of M&Ms, peanut butter jelly uncrustables, and frozen blueberries. She loved to touch her sister's hair. She loved to dance. She loved to sing. She loved people. To be surrounded by them. To make them feel good and loved. More than any toy (except maybe her tablet).

Our lives and our hearts will never be the same. We will remember her kindness, her selflessness, her always wanting to make everyone around her feel special and loved. We will fight to keep spreading her joy. To be happy. To have a thumbs up even when times are hard. We will carry that with us for the rest of our days until we'll never be separated from her again.

Our family was so blessed through Kallie's courageous journey. We aren't ready to plan a celebration yet (because her life should be celebrated). We ask if you want to do something in Kallie's honor, donate to some of the amazing organizations we've shared on her Facebook page "The Optimistic Angel". And if you don't want to do that, just hug your babies and your families a little tighter and make sure you make every day count. Moments don't have to be big, but they do have to be meaningful. This is something our girl has taught us.
