Obituary

Kathryn Ann Kluchin Anzalone peacefully passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 90, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on October 22, 1935 to Louis and Eunice Hatcher Kluchin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Peggy Joyce Kluchin; her beloved husband, Dr. Frank Fanancy "Snow" Anzalone; and her great-granddaughters, Abigail Leigh and Annabel Kate Jones.

Kathryn Ann was a life-long resident of Independence, Louisiana, and a devoted member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church. She graduated as the valedictorian of Independence High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. She was a proud member of many community organizations, including the Independence Italian Cultural Museum, Tangipahoa Parish Medical Society Alliance, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an avid sports fan and a long-time supporter of the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation.

A loving & devoted mother, Kathryn Ann will be greatly missed by her three children, Dr. Fanancy Louis Anzalone (Debra), Kathy Sue Edwards (Frank), and Michael Anzalone. She cherished time with her five granddaughters, Tiffany Anzalone McCasland (Christopher), Tracy Anzalone, Kathryn Edwards Jones (Joshua), Caroline Edwards Burge (Lucas), and Elizabeth Edwards Foundas (Andrew). She was further blessed to love eight great-grandchildren: Brooks and Banks McCasland; Lelia and Sofia Jones; Brennan, Brady, and Bonnie Burge; and Liam Foundas. She also shared special relationships with nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

The epitome of a Southern lady, she never met a stranger and was well-known for her radiant smile, infectious laugh, hospitality and generosity. Like her favorite color purple, her personality was vibrant, elegant and full of life. A true matriarch, "Mamaw" will be forever remembered for her love, charity and grace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church or School, or the Richard Murphy Hospice House.

Visitation will be held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday.
