Larry Gene Little, Sr. was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was cherished by his children and grandchildren, and would gladly lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He passed away on the 23rd of August 2017 at the age of 74. He was a Vietnam veteran, who loved to fish. He was a captain of a tug boat for many years then later retired from Cooper T. Smith after 25 years. He was a member of the Local Union #406. Even with all this, his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy Corkern Little; son, Larry Gene Little, Jr. and wife, Kathleen and their children, Caitlyn and Conner Little, and Katrina, Travis and Jacob Blackburn; daughter, Jennifer Vicknair and husband, Anthony and their children, Kale Booty, Kelsey Kleinpeter, Justin and Cody Vicknair and Kymber Alford and husband, Bradley; four great grand-babies; brother, Stanley Little and wife, Beverly, and his sister, Gloria Rowe. Preceded in death by his son, Elliott Newsom; brother, Junior Little; parents, Cecil and  Mary Belle  Little; mother in law, Myrtle Evelyn Mixon Corkern that he called "momma", and his grandparents, Reverend Abner and Ester Brown.
