A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at her home in Amite, LA. She was born October 25, 1947 in Buras, LA and was 74 years of age. She is survived by her 1 daughter, Michelle Buras Brister and husband Eric; 2 sons, James E. Buras, Jr. and Scott A. Buras; grandchildren, Jayne Cook and Jessica Buras; 3 great-grandchildren, Johnny Cook, Logen Cook and Kaylee Betts. Preceded in death by her husband, James E. Buras, Sr.; parents, Albert Collette and Agnes Squarsich Collette; 2 sisters, Gaynell Collette Hue and Bernadette Collette Richard Hue; 2 brothers, Conn Collette and Fredrick Collette. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 11:00AM until religious services at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Services conducted by Bro. Jimmy Brooks.
