A resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at The Claiborne in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born April 15, 1933 in Spring Creek, LA and was 91 years of age. She was a retired dairy farmer and an active member of the Kentwood Garden Club. Sally was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and Line Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter, Barbara Duncan and husband, Dale; grandchildren, Sherrie Threeton, Wendy Duncan, Charles Alford, Michael Alford, Tressie Phelps, Sally Strickland, Amy Skinner, Rachel Byrne, Billy Byrne, Ethan Byrne, Jeremy Byrne, Cory Byrne, Houston Byrne, Mary Lipsey; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husbands, Charles Ellis Hyde and Woodrow Higgins; 2 daughters, Donis Hyde Byrne and Linda Hyde Travis; granddaughter, Vicky Duncan; parents, Elias Balaam McDaniel and Mary Elma Corkern McDaniel; 2 brothers, Rex McDaniel and Voit McDaniel; sister, Mildred McDaniel. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday and from 9:00AM until religious services at 10:30AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
