A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at The Phoenix Senior Living Facility in Hammond, LA, LA. She was born January 6, 1943 in New Orleans, LA and was 82 years of age. After retiring from Sears, Lucy, alongside her husband Allen, embarked on a new venture as farmers, operating a cut flower and specialty vegetable farm in Amite, Louisiana, from 1998 to 2018. Over the two decades, they cultivated and sold their vibrant flowers and fresh produce as dedicated vendors at the Crescent City Farmers Market in New Orleans and the Red Stick Farmers Market in Baton Rouge. Their commitment to quality and community made them well-known contributors to these bustling markets, where they connected with customers and shared the fruits of their labor. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Louanne Bertrand and husband, Brett and Carolyn Waller and husband, Jim; son, Allen Thomas Capdeboscq, Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Andrew Bertrand, Peyton Waller, Cooper Capdeboscq. Eli Capdeboscq, and Emma Capdeboscq. Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony "Tony" and Josephine Arnone Liuzza; husband, Allen Thomas Capdeboscq, Sr.; 3 brothers, Jake Louis Liuzza, Peter Victor "Pete" Liuzza, and Joseph Michael "Joe" Liuzza; 3 sisters, Lena Liuzza Christen Imbornone , Mary Rose Liuzza Lombardo, and Virginia Liuzza Starkey. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, LA, at 11:00 A.M. Services will be conducted by Fr. Reuben Dykes.
