Lucius Dean Scott, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the age of 90.

Lucius was raised in Hammond, La and after graduating from Hammond High School in 1950, he served in the US Navy.

He loved the Arts and Interior Design of everything. He was a member of the Baton Rouge Downtown Developmental District for many years and also had numerous Art Galleries in Baton Rouge over the years.

He was charming, witty, and could tell you stories that could make anyone laugh for hours. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

He is survived by sons Brian Scott (Salvation), and Thomas Scott, with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.

He is preceded in death by parents Luther H Scott and Lillian Porter Scott, brother Luther, and his loving wife of many years Ida Coyne Scott.

A special thanks to the staff at Ollie Steele Manor Nursing Home, St. Joseph Hospice Care, Perrin Watkins, and Jacqueline Dammon for their loving care and support of Lucius in his remaining days here with us until he entered the gates of Heaven.

Memorial Services, and the Burial of his Ashes, will be done on February 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Cemetery in Hammond, La. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
