A resident of Kentwood, LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. She was born February 28, 1943 in New Orleans, LA and was 80 years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Spears; sons, Trenton Spears (Tara) and Clinton Spears (Kelly); grandchildren, Josh Newman, Cody Newman (Ashton), Tonya Newman, Brittany Simeon (Adam), Blake King, Trenton Spears II (Santanna), Shelby Harrison (Elliot), Brandon McElveen (Kayla), Ashlyn Rousse (Roy), Rainey Thibodeaux (Jessica), Ariel Thibodeaux, Kyle Newman (Shelby), Shanea Hayden (David), Colton Spears (Chelsea); 23 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Karl Rohrer; numerous family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Troy Allen Spears; parents, Benjamin Franklin Hyde and  Ludie Moore Hyde; daughter, Leshia Newman Rohrer; son-in-law, Dickie Newman; granddaughter, Dana Perilloux.
