In Loving Memory
With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we announce that our beloved husband, father, and friend, Matthew, went home to be with Jesus, August 28, 2026. He is now at peace in the presence of the Lord he loved. He was a devoted husband who cherished his marriage with Karen and a man who loved his family with his whole heart.
Those closest to him knew him as a steady, generous presence, someone who showed his love through faithfulness, hard work, and quiet acts of care. As a proud patriot, he served his country in the United States Army and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4). He carried that sense of duty, honor, and service throughout his life and remained grateful for the privilege of having worn the uniform.
He worked hard and took genuine pride in his work as Night Shift Foreman at Southland Steel Fabricators. Known and respected as "Boss Man," he was more than a supervisor-he was a mentor who led by example, guided his team with integrity, and earned the trust and admiration of those who worked alongside him.
His greatest joy outside of family and faith was beekeeping. He tended his hives with patience and delight, and he loved nothing more than sharing the honey from his hives with family and friends. In that simple, generous gift, he shared a little of the sweetness he brought into so many lives.
He loved to make people laugh. He thought of himself as a comedian.
He will be remembered as a man of faith, a loving husband, a proud veteran, a respected leader, and a generous friend. His example of hard work, service, and quiet kindness leaves a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
