Matthew Dane Shockley, a resident of Loranger, LA, left this life surrounded by family on January 24, 2024. He was born December 3, 1982 at Seventh Ward General Hospital in Hammond, LA. Matthew was 41 years of age. He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Adilynn Grace Shockley; wife, Mattie Dyess Shockley, parents, Kathy Ridgedell Drude, Thomas and Pat Husser Shockley, and stepfather, Richard Drude; sister, Brittany Shockley Olivier and husband, Thad; brothers, Tyler Drude and Logan Gill; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William and Helen Burnthorn Shockley; Wade and Catherine Kilpatrick Ridgedell;  uncle, Kenneth Ridgedell, cousins, Douglas Shockley and Hillary "Morgan" Shockley. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9:00 a.m. until religious services at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Services conducted by Pastors Richard Drude and Brittany Olivier.
