Milton Green Bigner passed away peacefully at his residence in Independence at 5:00 AM on Saturday November 8th. Milton was known for his love of the Bible, going to church, and listening to Old Fashioned preaching. When he was able to go to church, he often times would pick up a guitar and sing some special music. When his children were younger, Milton drove a church bus and picked up children and brought them to church. Milton is now at home with the Lord who he served the majority of his life.

Milton was also an avid New Orleans Saints and LSU football fan all of his life. He also enjoyed collecting models of older cars and telling jokes. He loved to laugh and also make people laugh. Milton was a loving husband and Father, and he had a special love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Milton was proceeded in death by his mother Gladys McKay, his father James Wade Bigner, his sisters Brenda Doty and Paulette Cameron, and his grandson Justin Murray. Milton left behind his brother Allen Dale Bigner, his loving wife of 57 years, Leatrice Bigner. His children Gary Bigner and wife Sandra Bigner, Linda Reid and husband Dr. James P. Reid, Joanne Murray, and Paula Dickerson with her husband Robby Dickerson. He is survived by 12 grandchildren, (Gary W., Brayden, Jamie, James, Christopher, Isaac, Elijah, Tiffany, Nichole, Faith, Andrew, and Kaitlyn.) He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.(Little J.P., Isaiah, Gracie, Brooklyn, Addison, River Rose, and Justin.)

The services will be held at The Way Christian Center located at 45418 Durbin Rd., Hammond, LA 70401 on Saturday November 15. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. The service will start at 11:00 AM. The services will be officiated by Pastor Robby Dickerson.
