A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home. He was born October 9, 1927 in Amite and was 89 years of age. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church and a WWII Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife Mary E. Gulotta Genco; 2 daughters Paula Genco Spear and Loreta Genco Campo and husband Steve Campo, Jr.; son Charles V. Genco and wife Mary D. Genco; 5 grandchildren William Hall and wife Emily, Paul C. Genco, II, Steven J. "Trey" Campo, III, Charly Lyn Genco, and Mary-Lauren Campo; 4 great grandchildren Mackenzie, Rilee, Abram and Whitney Hall and daughter in law Jackie Genco. Preceded in death by his parents Charles V. and Pauline Misita Genco; son John Joseph Genco; sisters Catherine Cuti, Mary Cefalu, and Pauline Schittone; and his brother Charles Sam Genco. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM with Funeral Mass at St. Helena Catholic Church at 12 Noon. Services conducted by Fr. Mark Beard.
