Peggy Louise Patten Kyzar, 70, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. in Independence, LA. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on December 1,1954. She was a devoted wife to Eugene Kyzar for 51 years and a loving mother to Cally Kyzar McDonald (Mathew), Roy Kyzar (Ashley), Henry Kyzar (Laci). She is also survived by her grandchildren Amber Bailey (Jacob), Christopher Kyzar, Anthony Cangelosi,III, Bridgette Jarred (Corey), Joshua Kyzar (Madeline), Jennifer Kyzar, Heather Kyzar, Nicholas Kyzar, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings Annie Lorenda Patten, Clifton Patten.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Vettie Patten, son Andy Gene Kyzar, and great granddaughter Elizabeth Renee Cangelosi.

Peggy worked as a Paraprofessional/Child Specific at Loranger Schools where she retired after 30 years. She made a lasting impression on countless coworkers and students.

Peggy was known for her love for her children, her faith in Jehovah, her laughter, and love for her family.

Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM on Friday and from 8:00AM until Religious Services at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Services conducted by Bro. Galen Haines.
