A resident of Husser LA, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, in Husser, LA. He was born November 2, 1949 in Independence, LA, and was 72 years of age. After high school, Ralph served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the service, he returned home where he met the love of his life, Dot. They married on January 15, 1972. For over 30 years he owned his own sub contracting business. During this time, he mentored many men in his self-taught trade. In 2002, he decided to open "the store", which came to be known as Family Grocery & Deli. After 18 years of dedication to the community, he decided to retire. He wanted more time with his precious grandchildren. When he wasn't working you could find him doing other things he loved like being in the woods, on the water (fishing), and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dot Baham; son, Ryan Baham and wife, Michelle; daughter, Jaime Barnett; former son-in-law, Rich Barnett; 5 grandchildren, Abbygail Barnett (Christian Reinhardt), Reece Baham, Aiden Baham, Carson Barnett, and Brady Baham; great-grandchild due in June; 1 brother, Jeff Baham (Sandy); 4 sisters, Brenda Smith, Sandra Husser, Janice Dunnington (Ricky), and Violet Dunnington (Carl); 1 sister in law, Margaret Baham (Mike); numerous nieces and nephews; as well as grand-dogs, Mollie, Bounty and Scout. Preceded in death by his father, Ernest Baham; mother, Juanita Baham Rodriguez; stepfather, Herman Rodriguez; mother-in-law, Katie Anthony.
