Our loving, beautiful wife and mother, Rose V. Lamonica, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 after fighting a hard battle surrounded by her loved ones. Rose was born to Frank and Josephine Vicaro on Dec. 23,1931. She met and married the love of her life, Joe L. Lamonica, & they were married for 73 extremely beautiful years, a relationship that was remarkable & unique. She is survived by her loving husband & partner in life, Joe L. Lamonica, and her two beloved daughters who adored her, Kathy Lamonica and Joyce Lamonica Rollins (husband John whom she thought of as a son). She is also survived by her sister, Josie Fontana and her brother, Joseph (Baby Joe) Vicaro. She is also survived by so many people she loved so deeply and with whom she lived the majority of her life - the Lamonica and Garofalo families of Lamonica Road - Rosalie, Larry Sr., Ronald Louis, Larry Jr., Todd, Wyatt, Dusty, Megan, her beautiful little Greyson Rose (her namesake), Caitlynn, Ryan, and Fallyn. She also deeply loved all her nieces and nephews on the Vicaro side of the family especially May Stilley who helped us out on several occasions when we needed her & Marie Parent who called every day & offered to help. Preceded in death by parents, Frank & Josephine Vicaro, sisters Evelyn Latino, Angelina Maurer Mashon, Frances (Lil) Cali, Joann Lay, Mary Gerarve, her brothers, Tommy & Johnny Vicaro & infant Johnny (who died at birth). Also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Marion (Sonny) Garofalo whom she considered a brother & her in-laws, Louis & Tina Lamonica.
We offer our deepest thanks to her wonderful sitters who helped us take good care of her & became like part of the family - Mary, Gloria, Myia, Tonya, Chiquita & Charlotte.
