SALVADOR "SAL", "SAM", JOHN AGNELLO 73

Salvador John Agnello AKA Sal, Sam, S.J. Agnello was born October 18, 1949 to Mary Graziano and Salvadore "Sam" Dominick Agnello in Independence, LA. He made his residence in the East Fork Community for the last 40 years. Salvador is survived by his oldest brother Deacon Michael "Mike" Agnello (Valerie), His sister-in-law Lena Armato Agnello, first cousins: Fran Lucido Ford, Angela Lucido, Angie Pecoraro Arnone, Nace and Vincent Pecoraro, Richard, Arthur and Philip Graziano, Brenda Turner Petho and Mario and Gianina Agnello, Antionette "Tee" Graziano Osbourne and Inez Graziano Miller. Numerous nieces and nephews as well as his adoptive family of friend and confidant Ann Varnado Jennings.

Sal attended Holy Mass at Our Lady of the Pines, Osyka, MS. Until the church closed and then attended services with Ann's family at Saul's Street Missionary Baptist in Tylertown, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sam D. and Mary Agnello, his brothers Joseph George and Ciro Lawrence Agnello, his friend Ann Jennings and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His grand-parents Mario "Mike" and Sarah Sciambra Agnello, Joseph and Angelina Pulara Graziano.

Sal served proudly in the U.S. Army as a M.P. Military Policeman during the Viet Nam Crisis.

Sam retired as an officer with the Louisiana Department of Weights and Measures truck scales at the I-55 MS-LA state line with over 30 years of service.

Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite on T uesday, August 15, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. f ollowed by a Catholic Religious Service officiated by Deacon Mike Agnello. Burial will be at the Dillon Family Plot in Progress, MS.
