Susan Guarino Waller, a resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 18, 1953, in Tacoma, Washington, and lived to be 68 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Warren "Mark" Waller, two sons, Alexander M. Waller (Elizabeth Doré) and Maxwell M. Waller, one sister, Jean Guarino Maggio (Ray Maggio), sister-in-law Paulette Waller Nettles, brother-in-law Floyd R. Waller, ten nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell Joseph Guarino and Doris Boothe Guarino, one sister, Cathy Guarino Benoit, and two sons, Ryan Kent Waller and Zachary Roth Waller. Susan grew up on the West Bank of New Orleans and attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a Bachelor's degree. After the birth of her second son, she then attended Southwest Community College where she earned her nursing degree. For more than two decades Susan worked as a House Supervisor at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. Nursing was her true passion. She was a problem solver that loved helping others. Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite, from 11:00 AM until religious services at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Services will be conducted by Dr. Waylon Bailey of First Baptist Church of Covington. Interment in the Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa, LA.
