Obituary

Tommy passed on to his new life and new body, on Thursday September 21, 2023 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 69 years young. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Melissa Ann Bickham Cutrer; son, Thomas E. "Duke" Cutrer, Jr.; daughter, Lacey R. Cutrer Walker and her husband, Roger Walker, II; grandchildren, Zoey Ann Savoie and her partner Jax, Zane Lee Walker and Zack Thomas Walker; my baby sister, who he considered a daughter, Brandy Lee Jenkins Stevens and husband Ryan and her children, Rayne Vest and Cash Colona.  Also, survived by his brother, Carmen "Cotton" Cutrer and wife Karen, their son Jordan,  Carmen's daughter Jennifer and her children; sister, Susan Cutrer and her daughter Erica and granddaughter. Susan's 3 granddaughters (father Adam whom is deceased); niece, Heather Cutrer; sister in law, Tina Bickham (husband Ben, deceased); nieces, Jonquil and Morgan and her two daughters; nephew, Derek Bickham. Preceded in death by his father, Herbert Earl Cutrer; mother, Agnes Fayette "Faye" Jones Cutrer Bass; brother, Timothy Daniel "Danny" Cutrer; and several aunts and an uncle. Despite the illnesses he suffered, he lived his life wide open. He loved Jesus, music and fox hunting. (It was a part of his blood). Tuesday nights were set aside for music and although there is no way of naming all his friends, I can say Farley will miss him on Tuesdays. He did get his picture on the cover of the Hunters Horn. Thank you for all the support from the fox hunting community. It's a true brotherhood. I'm sure everyone will miss the competitive nature of Tom and Talbert. He was clear about not wanting a wake or funeral service and we will honor his wishes. Thanks again to everyone for the love and support, it means a lot. I, Melissa, will love him until the day I die and then beyond. I feel, I would need to write a book to do this man justice. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
