A resident of Kentwood, LA, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her home. She was born March 27, 1939 in Tangipahoa, LA and was 84 years of age. She is survived by her one son, Ray T. Simmons of Tangipahoa; sisters-in-law, Carolyn T. Smith of Franklinton and Marie Johnson of Central; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Smith and Vivian Jenkins Smith; brothers, Nick Harvey Smith and Jerry Leon Smith. Graveside Services will be held at New Zion Cemetery, Kentwood, LA at 11:00AM on Friday, June 2, 2023. Services conducted by Rev. John Cook.
